추운나라에 출장 다녀온지 얼마되지도 않았는데..
해파리로 골머리를 썩고 있는 따뜻한 나라에선.. 해파리 관련해서 여기 저기서 요청이 들어오네요 ^^
캘리포니아 주립대학의 해파리 전공 교수님과 연락을 하다가 미국 국가 과학재단(NSF)에서
해파리 관련 기획보도를 한다는 소식을 접하게 되었습니다.
교수님께서 제 연락처를 알려주셨는지 NSF 에서 오늘 아래와 같은 이메일이 왔습니다.
노무라입깃해파리, sea nettle(커튼원양해파리), comb jellies(유즐동물문), box jellyfish(입방해파리) 등의 사진을 구한다고 하네요..
수산과학원에서 발간한 한국연안의 해파리 사진외에도.. DEPC 회원분들의 좋은 사진이 있으면.. 한국의 해파리를 전세계에 홍보합시다.
NSF 의 기사에 해파리 사진, 동영상 등을 실으실 의사가 있으시면 알려주세요..
붙임과 같은 영상물 제공 동의서 작성은 제가 돕겠습니다.
무더운 더위와 급격한 유가상승과 태풍 갈매기에도 DEPC 의 열정은 계속되길 바라며..

I am an Image Researcher/ Multimedia Specialist in the Office of Legislative and Public Affairs at the National Science Foundation, working Lily Whiteman on a Special Report about Jellyfish. We would like to highlight your research in our special report. Currently, we are searching for images, videos, and animations of many types of jellyfish. In particular, we are in need of various types of comb jellies, nomura jellyfish, sea nettle, box jellyfish in Australia and Hawaii, stinger suits, and portuguese man of war. If you have any images along those lines please let us know.
If you agree, could you please email the highest available resolution (preferably a 300dpi JPEG or TIFF) of any available images. Also, if you have any videos from your research we would love to see those as well. If there are far too many to send via email we can set up a spot on our FTP site or if you have one we can access yours...
The copyright holder needs to complete both pages of our permission form (it is attached), and fax it addressed to me at 703-292-9087. Be sure to indicate whether you grant NSF External and Internal Use of your image. Also, please include the image caption and credit line, including any restriction information.
If you need additional information, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

DEPC 회원님들의 사진이라면 다른 어떤 곳의 사진보다도 우수할것이라 생각되네요.
많은 분들의 참여를 바랍니다.
해파리사진은 회원님들이 자포동물에 올려주시면 장수정연구원님께서 적합한 사진을 촬영가에게 알려주시면 될것같습니다.
